Solution: To work this out you need to know your 4 times tables. 36 divided by something equals 4. When you go through your 4 times tables you stop when you get to an answer of 36. 36 divided by 4 equals 9.

Solution: To go through your eight times tables until you get the answer of 56.

Question 22. Fill in the missing number.

Predict: I predict that this is going to be about finding the missing number in the division sum.

Clarify: Nothing to clarify.

Find the big picture: To find the missing number.

Solution: The division sum is something divided by 5 and equals 9. So, you go through your five times tables. Once you have found the answer to 9×5 put down 45 in the box. Then you have your answer.

Summary: To work this out you have to know your five times tables. The answer was 45.
